By far, the best way to enjoy your media such as Cable TV, Internet, DVDs, Blu-ray Disks, Photographs, Home Movies, Music, CDs and other forms of media is with a simple, easy to use and fully integrated Media Center. Thanks primarily to Microsoft and the Vista products and other vendors such as Dell and HP with their Digital Cable ready computers and ATI with their CableCard TV tuner, these systems are available today. They have great reliability and flexibility, but are difficult to design and configure. It has only been possible to create these Media Center systems since about 2008, and has only been possible by sophisticated "Geeks".
Digital MultiMedia Systems (DMS) mission is to provide these Multi Media systems to the home user with (or contemplating) a Home Theater system at a price that is fair and affordable. The home user needs casual familiarity with PCs, but does not need to be at the "Geek" level. These systems are easy to install and consist of a single powerful computer which connects to your TV with a single cable (HDMI), connects to your sound system with either analog or digital cables and provides THX certified 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. The computer also connects to the Internet through your existing broadband connection. Once installed, your complete Home Theater system is controlled by a single standard remote control. All of the components are standard off-the-shelf products skillfully integrated to provide an easy to use and support system. I use no special "hacks" in the software, so any skilled computer service provider will be able to support your system hardware and software.
Multi Media systems are best enjoyed with lots of media. Media from the newer digital devices such as camcorders, cameras, CDs, , DVDs , Blu-ray disks and MP3 devices is quick and easy to add to your Media Center. However, adding legacy media such as photos, slides, analog video tapes and others are time consuming. Therefore, DMS offers a professional media conversion service for all types of legacy media. By taking advantage of our service, when your DMS Media Center arrives, it will be fully loaded with all of your old memories (photos, videos, movies, music, etc.) and ready for your immediate enjoyment.
With a DMS Media Center, you may occasionally need support and we are prepared to provide that support. In addition, you can purchase long-term support contracts with the computer vendors (HP or Dell) to help with hardware failures and software questions.
